Sienna

Happy Birthday Enzy!!! I can't believe my little girl is 2! Sienna is so much fun. She is such a little girl now. She loves babies, getting her toenails painted, and ELMO! She knows her ABC's, some colors, and she can count to 14 (hooray for Sesame Street)! She thinks she is so old, she already has to choose her clothes, and anytime anyone asks how old she is she says "four". She adores her big brother and he loves playing with her, too (most of the time). She brings such joy to our family, and I can't imagine life without her!
Look at those cheeks!
We went to Busch Gardens for Sienna's birthday. She loved the rides. She wanted to go on all of them, and she cried when she wasn't tall enough for some of them. She wouldn't let anyone go with her on the rides. I would ask her if she wanted me to come with her, and she would say, "No mama!" She would let Cayce go with her on some of them!
This was one of the rides she wouldn't let anyone go with her!
We let them play in the water; she wasn't too sure about it!

Lake Powell

The kids and I just got back from Lake Powell. Darren was so nice and let us fly back so we could go. I hadn't been there for about 8 years! We used to go all the time growing up, so it was so fun to go back. My aunt and uncle planned the entire trip. There were 27 people in all, so there was never a dull moment. We rented a houseboat, and we had two ski boats. My aunt and uncle's boat was set up for inland surfing, so I got to try that and it was so much fun! We also went tubing, wakeboarding, and fishing. There were so many people that we couldn't all sleep on the houseboat so Tyler, Amy, Taylor, Hadley, Hailee, Me, Cayce, & Sienna stayed in a tent on the beach. What an adventure that was! It was such an awesome trip; it was a lot of work with the kids, but well worth it.
Cole caught a fish using just fishing line and a hook on his finger! The next Survivor Man!
Riley caught a catfish and cooked it. He shared it with Cayce and he LOVED it!

Cayce & Taylor were like little fish, they swam every minute they could.

The 4th of July in D.C.

My younger brother, Riley, came to visit us back east. We were able to go to D.C. for the 4th of July. It was CRAZY busy, but it was so memorable to be celebrating our nation's independence there. The fireworks were AMAZING, and we all had so much fun even though it rained on and off most of the day and we didn't have umbrellas or rain coats!

Here we are in front of the Lincoln Memorial...it was impossible to get a picture of all of us that day! (Sienna isn't even looking)
Here is how busy it was.
Tons of the buildings had American flags all over them. They looked beautiful!

Urgent Care...and Virginia Beach

So we were on our way to Virginia Beach when Darren's lip started to swell. He asked me if his lip looked funny, and I said "No, it looks fine." Well, an hour later he said, "Are you sure my lip doesn't look funny, it feels really swollen?" He turned to look at me and I freaked out! His lip looked like this!!! We immediately pulled over and looked up an Urgent Care, (for the second time in one week, see Williamsburg post) and it turns out he is allergic to Ibuprofen. The Dr. gave him a steroid shot, and some antihistamines. His lip got even bigger than this, (he is not pushing his lip out at all in the picture) but by the end of the day it was pretty much back to normal. He was a good sport, and we still ended up going to the beach.
Sienna was the only one having a good time at the Dr.'s office...she was glad she wasn't the patient this time.
Cayce's favorite thing to do at the beach was to have us bury him. We probably buried him 5 times!

Williamsburg, VA

Our first outing when we got to Virginia was to Williamsburg on Memorial Day. We were only able to spend a couple of hours there because Sienna got sick the night before and we ended up taking her to Urgent Care that morning. By the afternoon, she was feeling better so we decided to drive up there and check it out.

Okay...here I go!

So I am FINALLY starting a blog. I know I am way behind all those tech savvy friends of mine, but I figure better late than never, right. I have no idea what I am doing, so things might be a bit messy for awhile!
